Meet The Doctors

Dr. Nancy C. Lichon, M.D.

Lichon, M.D. | Wheaton | Lombard | Carol Streamncy Lichon is a board-certified dermatologist with over 25 years of practice experience, currently providing patients with comprehensive medical and cosmetic care at Lichon Dermatology.  In addition to her practice services, Dr. Lichon also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Illinois.

Dr. Lichon graduated Cum Laude with her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi, and held distinction in Microbiology.  She then received her medical degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago.  After graduation, Dr. Lichon completed internship training at Lutheran General Hospital and residency training in Dermatology at the University of Illinois-Chicago as well.

Actively involved in the medical and local communities, Dr. Lichon is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, Chicago Dermatological Society, American Medical Association and the DuPage County Medical Society.

Dr. Lichon is married to Dr. Francis Lichon, a rheumatologist, and has three children.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, and music.

Dr. Julie Anne Moore, M.D.

She grew up in western Iowa and attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where she graduated Cum Laude, with a Bachelors of Science, majoring in Chemistry.

Dr. Moore graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University School of Medicine, where she was also a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. She then went on to complete a year of Internal Medicine training at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Under the direction of Dr. Frederick Malkinson and Dr. Roger Pearson, she excelled in her Dermatology training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Moore has been on the teaching staff in the Department of Dermatology at Rush University Medical Center since 1991 and has had several manuscripts published in highly respected dermatology journals. For the last 15 years, she has also been the staff Dermatologist at the Pigmented Lesion Clinic, a comprehensive clinic in the Department of Oncology, which evaluates and provides photo documentation of moles for patients at high risk for developing melanoma. Dr. Moore is also on the teaching staff in the Department of Family Practice at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, since 1998.

Dr. Moore is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as a member of the Illinois and Chicago Dermatology Societies. In the past she has served as Vice- President of the Chicago Dermatology Society, as well as a member of the Plans and Policies Committee, Financial Committee, and Skin Cancer Screening Committee for the Chicago Dermatology Society.

Dr. Moore in her free time spends time with her husband (a police officer), their cats, and crazy pug, Lucybelle.

 

Vanessa C. Lichon, M.D.

Dr. Vanessa Lichon is board certified in dermatology by the American Academy of Dermatology.  She specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery and facial reconstruction. 

Dr. Lichon graduated as the valedictorian at Benet Academy and continued to the University of Notre Dame where she received her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, graduating Summa Cum Laude. 

Dr. Lichon earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her internship and dermatology residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL, where she was elected chief resident. 

After residency, Dr. Lichon completed a procedural dermatology fellowship at the University of Vermont, Fletcher Allen Health Care, under the mentorship of internationally renowned Mohs micrographic surgeon, Dr. Glenn Goldman.  She received extensive training in Mohs micrographic surgery, cutaneous oncology, facial reconstruction, lasers and cosmetic procedures. 

Dr. Lichon has lectured regionally, nationally and internationally on dermatology and dermatologic surgery and has authored many manuscripts in medical and surgical dermatology journals. 

Dr. Lichon’s professional affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, International Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative (ITSCC), and the Chicago Dermatological Society. 

    Dr. Lichon’s clinical interests include:

  • Skin cancer evaluation and management
  • Cutaneous evaluation for organ transplant recipients
  • Melanoma
  • Atypical nevi
  • Scar revision
  • Laser and cosmetic surgery
